Encrypt Easy – Useful, Easy to Use Encryption Utility
What do you do when you need to keep a file private, when you don’t want someone to be able to access that file. I know people who take that file and hide in somewhere deep on their system. Their belief is that the file is so well hidden that no one will be able to find it. That may be true; but should someone be able to locate that file, what’s protecting it?
You wouldn’t have to hide a file if you properly secure it by encrypting it. Once a file has been encrypted, no one will be able to access it. Access to the file will be provided only after the file has been decrypted; and to decrypt the file, one has to provide the right password.
An application that can do all the bits presented above is the Baltsoft Software-developed, the aptly named Encrypt Easy. The application can do a bit more than what’s been presented above. Here is all the functionality you can expect to get from Encrypt Easy:
- One-click files, folders and entire directory trees encryption/decryption. To encrypt data Encrypt Easy uses proven cryptographic algorithms such as Rijndael 256bit, Twofish 256bit, Blowfish 448bit, DES 64bit, TripleDES 192bit, and RC2 1024bit.
- Create self extractive packages to securely send files via the internet to people who do not have Encrypt Easy installed on their machine.
- Built-in shredder that securely deletes files. These files are deleted in such a way that data recovery tools cannot bring them back to life.
- Wipe out all traces of your Internet and system activities.
Before you go get Encrypt Easy and put it to the test, take a look at these technical details:
Download – the download weighs in at some 1.5MB, which is good news. It means it will only take a moment to get Encrypt Easy off the web and onto your computer.
Installation – you can install Encrypt Easy on the old but popular Windows XP, on the much avoided Windows Vista, and on the latest and greatest, Windows 7. Installing the application is a straightforward process that goes along smoothly and rapidly.
Limitations – you can use Encrypt Easy free of charge only for a trial period of 30 days.
Encrypt Easy is an incredibly easy to use application that encrypts files, securely deletes files, and removes any trace of your surfing activity. It is a powerful utility that anyone who cares about privacy will find useful.
